Language is an essential medium to communicate with people in every spheres of the society. Approximately 375 million people speak English around the world and there are more than 50 English speaking countries, where English is either the official or the primary language. It is the third most common primary language in the world (behind Mandarin Chinese and Spanish).
The English for Mission school will help you learn and improve your English language skills with an emphasis on conversational English. You will learn in a Christian missions–focused environment and be equipped in the area of language for future training and ministry. It also helps minister in English-speaking settings, and be better-prepared to fulfill God’s calling on their lives. The EFM is intended to give confidence and fluency to grow and develop as individuals.
This school is for 12 weeks and it includes devotion, worship, intercession, lecture, outings, work duties, games, discussions and other activities to fully immerse in the language as well as develop a better understanding of each other.
You can also grow in your knowledge of Jesus as you participate in worship and Bible study in our weekly schedule. Our teachers are from different nationalities and use creative, up-to-date training methods to help students learn. You will have daily small group lessons to equip you to speak, read and write English.
EFM is registered with UofN as Communication and Culture 1(HMT 243). Those who finished DTS will get 12 credits.
